    DESCRIPTION

    Polyurethane is a unique material that offers the elasticity of rubber combined and the toughness and durability of metal. Better abrasion resistance and improved physical properties makes it a practical replacement for rubber, plastics and metals. A very broad hardness range allows it to be used in a wide range of applications.

    Urethanes have better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, while offering higher load bearing capacity. When compared to plastics, urethanes offer superior impact resistance, while offering excellent wear properties and elastic memory.

    Urethanes have replaced metals in sleeve bearings, wear plates, sprockets, rollers and various other parts, with benefits such as weight reduction, noise abatement and improved wear resistance.

    PHILLPS HG 1105 is a non-asbestos gasket sheet made on the basis of aramid and carbon fibers combined with inorganic fillers, reinforcing a special rubber formulation as binder. It is suitable for a wide range of applications and can withstand most oils, solvents, gases, saturated steam and diluted acids and alkalis.

    PHILLIPS HG 1105 is fire-resistant per BS 5146 test routine.

    PHILLIPS Flexible Pure Graphite Sheet is an all-graphite gasket with tanged 316 wire insert, containing no resin binder or organic fillers. It is highly resistant to corrosion even at high temperature and is excellently compressible.

    Due to its pure nature, without binder, PHILLIPS HG 900 (SR) is compatible, conformable and resilient thus making it a flexible gasket material. It is chemically inert, fire safe and stable under extreme load and temperature. It is also anisotropic due to its crystalline structure and has excellent directional, electrical and thermal conduction properties.

    It is also recommended for application in chemical and high temperature gasketing application, heat shielding and noise damping components.

    PHILLIPS HG 900 (SR) also comes as plain, PHILLIPS HG 900.

  • Graphite Sheet w/ Wire

    HG 1135 is a graphite sheet with flat 0.05 mm thick stainless steel 316 insertion. This reinforcement makes the gasket stronger, easy to handle and easier to form. Graphite is an anti-stick agent thus affording ease in maintenance. The gasket sheet uses a binding compound but it does not affect the performance since it is only 0.97% of the graphite content.

  • NEOPRENE RUBBER SHEET
  • Neoprene Rubber Sheet

    A nylon/cloth fabric reinforced oil resistant neoprene sheet used to transmit motion between fluids premium components and superior properties for long service life. Makes an excellent weather stripping material. Should be carefully assessed for suitably to assure low permeability to the fluids or gases it will separate.

    For natural gas, oil gasoline and refrigerant at high pressure applications.

    Applications:

    1. High pressures require heavy fabric. In this case, thick rubber covers are needed to fill in and smooth out the rough impression of the fabric.
    2. Large diameters are being sealed.
    3. Flanges are rough or warped but within reasonable limits.

  • TEFLON SHEET / RODS
  • Teflon Sheet / Rods

    Teflon (TFE) products are used as gasket and packing materials in chemical processing equipment; as electrical insulation for maximum reliability; and in bearings, seals, piston rings and other mechanical applications, especially those requiring anti-stick characteristics.

    Teflon products are made of virgin Polytetrafluoroethylene material and use no binding agents.

    These products are furnished as rods, tubes, molded configurations or sheets.

    Teflon is used in heavier duty, anti-friction applications. It is modified by the addition of selected reinforcing agents.

    TFE has the highest melting point and is capable of continued service at 6000F (3200C); pH 0-14; 4500 psi tensile strength, compression strength 90-100 kgf/cm2; hardness 45-65 durometer.

    This product is composed of braided high tensile strength aramid fiber packing treated with a TFE coating and light, inert oil. This is stronger than steel and is ideal for abrasive applications.

    Recommended for general services, caustics, mild acids, air, chemicals, oils, gases, solvents and general chemical plant application.

  • LUBRICATED MARINE PACKING
  • Lubricated Marine Packing

    A square-braided packing made by weaving pure flax yarns treated with mineral lubricating grease. HG 4002 is designed for fresh and sea water application. The high quality flax is treated first with polytetrafluorocarbon dispersion, followed by special lubricating grease and finally treated with fine particles of fluorocarbon powder.

    The interspersion of fluorocarbon and lubricating compounds promote excellent packing pliability and compressibility as well as retardation of wear and tear. The lubricant especially ensures good shaft contact.

  • PURE GRAPHITE PACKING
  • Pure Graphite Packing

    Pure Graphite Packing is treated with special high temperature break-in lubricants. It can be applied to virtually all pumps and valves and achieve superior leakage control in the shortest possible time. It is also inert to almost all chemicals, the only exceptions are oleum, fuming nitric acid, aqua regia and fluorine. Pure Graphite Packing is used to seal chemical applications ranging from pH:0-14 and all solvents, gases and other liquids.

    The high heat conductivity of pure graphite packing combined with its automatic self-lubricating properties allow use with no shaft scoring. It eliminates shaft wear associated with asbestos PTFE or graphite PTFE packing which burns when shaft temperature exceeds 6000F (3150C). The specially lubricated pure graphite material does not harden or glaze over and can result in maintenance savings many times in excess of the actual packing cost.

    The base material being all graphite can withstand temperature up to 50000F (27600C) in the absence of an oxidizing agent with practically no weight loss. It withstands 8000F (4300C) in air with no change in characteristic.

  • PURE TEFLON PACKING
  • Pure Teflon Packing

    HG 1012 is composed of synthetic composite yarn with PTFE emulsion. It is intended to resist various chemicals and substances such as strong alkalis, mild acids, steams and oils.

    This variety of Teflon Packing is recommended for rotary shafts, reciprocating application and valves. It is not suitable for concentrated acids and lyes, oxygen, lacquers and paints.
